A Special Visit From Wiley Peterson!

Lillian Valley recently had a special visitor. Famous 2007 PBR World Finals Event Champion Wiley Peterson made an appearance on Friday, February 24th to meet and talk with the kids. Having grown up in Fort Hall and been a member of the Shoshone-Bannock Tribe, the famous bull rider was able to not only relate to all of the kids, but was also a great motivator and role model for everyone. He gave the kids a quick explanation of the steps he takes to get ready to ride a bull, and some tips on being successful in PBR (Professional Bull Riders). Wiley Peterson discussed with the kids about the importance of working hard, being healthy, making good choices and having high goals for themselves. He also stressed the importance of his faith, telling the kids that his relationship with Christ is extremely important to him. He brought in all of his bull riding gear and the kids had a blast checking it all out, and even trying on some of it! After he told his story, the kids had the opportunity to ask Wiley questions, including ones like: "When is your birthday?" and "When will you start riding again?" The morning visit ended with the kids all lined up to get Wiley's autograph and finally, a group picture.
Wiley briefly discussed his upcoming events, including a bull riding clinic for children on March 23rd and 24th in Pocatello. For more information on this event and Wiley Peterson, visit his website at http://wileypetersen.com/.
